Happy your health journey has improved! Def will read anything you write on environment perception and public space planning. I think about this a lot living in a city and thinking about its accessibility to children, older parents, me getting older, etc.
As a former counselor, I hope your kids really enjoy camp! Also that sashiko class sounds so cool!
I love a camp counselor! I remember walking down a hotel corridor during my brief book tour in June 2025 and thinking I was in the Shining. There should be nervous system ratings for hotels. Thank you for reading!
I am sooo happy for you, Emily! And kudos to you for doing your eye exercises every day. What a relief that they’ve worked, and how wonderful that your health tribulations have opened you up rather than shut you down. Enjoy your two weeks of empty nesting.
One of these days when you’re up my way, do give me a call. We can stand together at a Portland coffee shop or I can give you a walking tour of my tiny condo in the Pearl.
That would be wonderful! I’m not even sure I’m ready to be out of prisms… they kind of make the world’s colors brighter. Without them it’s kind of dull colors. Or duller. SO WEIRD. Would love to see you again. Meeting you was a highlight of my Spring!

So glad to hear your health improvements! What a big WIN. Also, fly me some of that trifle!
I would do it differently and use less heavy vegan whip (haha). But! I like reminding myself there is joy in a GF/DF world :)

A highlight for me too.
I once had a pair of rose-colored sunglasses, and wow did they make the world look better. Hated when my prescription changed and I had to move on.
