Love your new layout. Also I'm obsessed with those Victorian conversation chairs and have seriously considered one before (in the end, felt it might be too rickety?)

lol Another Simple Favor was deeply unhinged and yet I had to watch all of it!

I’m curious about how people might place these chairs in a home. I find them so charming. My current home doesn’t have a salon 🤣.

I personally think they're a good delineation in a big space (dividing eating/living areas -- seats facing both areas). If there are more modern ones that have seats big and deep enough to lounge in on either side, I would have probably sprung for it. But I've only ever seen those in fancy hotels! But a real Victorian one, I'd probably be overprotective and only let books/dolls sit on the chairs :)

I've been rewatching 90s Jane Austen lately and thinking about how immediate and charmingly awkward some of these old setups are. I kind of miss it! I do like furniture that tells you how to behave - ha - though I don't often live with it, or, at least, the extreme examples.

How I relate to so much of this…preferring to lie around all the time…dislike of open concept living…love of random comfy furniture in unexpected places.

Just this week I’ve been trying to sell an old leather wingback chair on Marketplace. It’s been sitting on my front porch for a few days because buyers keep flaking. This morning my husband and I were discussing how nice it is to have a leather chair on our front porch and wondering how bad it would be to just leave it there 🤔

Seems like a good idea to me! Maybe the material might be a problem... I'm not the best expert for material choices for porches, but I like the idea! Also... I've been doing reformer Pilates for a year now. Exercising WHILE LAYING DOWN.
